๐Ÿ˜ฎrchest: we will be sending a longer announcement soon, but in the meantime, we are thrilled to tell you that Orchest v2022.03.7 is backed by Kubernetes :kubernetes: in the words of @Rick Lamers, "The move to Kubernetes was long in the making, it truly unleashes the architecture of Orchest to operate at cluster scale. With containers as first class primitives throughout the application we're seeing linear speedups across a number of features. This change makes it possible to work with a large team on a single beefy cluster. That opens up many interesting opportunities for collaboration." we are now working to take these changes to Orchest Cloud, but in the meantime you can try out the new version yourselves, using local kubernetes solutions like minikube. check out our installation instructions https://docs.orchest.io/en/latest/getting_started/installation.html and if you have any question, let us know!

I am just finding this project and have a meaty multi-org pipeline problem, would love to discuss.

Thank you both! This is a code-level framework project I've been looking into, and gives a pretty good idea of my "niche" https://esa.gitlab.io/pyxel/doc/stable/tutorials/overview.html ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ”ญ ๐Ÿ›ฐ๏ธ Also have played around with this a bit with some success (time-domain simulation framework): https://xarray-simlab.readthedocs.io/en/latest/about.html ๐Ÿ•‘๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ”ฌ๐Ÿš… I've long dreamed of "python instead of Simulink" so I'd be very excited to integrate Orchest with either of the above, or do some clean-sheet tinkering with it. Will ping back later this month when I have a good window to discuss.

Oh, even dabbled in snakemake for calibration work. Really liked the auto-DAGs there and in simlab.

this is the dream of so many, including myself... ๐Ÿ˜„ DAG-based tools might be too limited for it though. there are some promising efforts based on SimuPy https://github.com/nasa/simupy-flight but they need more maintenance

about your specific use case, I was slightly familiar with https://github.com/astropy/ccdproc/, from the Astropy community, but I'm not sure what's the overlap with what Pyxel does

nice! if you're into orbit visualization, check out https://docs.poliastro.space/en/stable/gallery.html (I'm the author)

Need to refresh my memory on Astropy, I know it's a dependency for Pyxel and has a unit registry ๐Ÿ‘Œ
Stoked on this domain overlap! Sounds like we've churned through many of the same problems. Looking forward to figuring out next steps.
